Assistant Manager Human Resource & Administration

Job Description

1. Statutory Compliance & Legal Liaison a) Ensure compliance under the Factories Act and related labour laws including PF, ESIC, LWF, Contract Labour Act, Employment Exchange, and DISH regulations. b) Timely submission of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual statutory returns to relevant authorities (Labour Office, DISH, Employment Department, Statistics Department, etc.). c) Coordinate and liaise with statutory authorities including GPCB, PESO, TDO, Mamlatdar Office, Local Sarpanch, Talati, and other industrial bodies/agencies. d) Ensure contractor compliance with statutory requirements for contractors working inside the plant. 2. Audit & Documentation a) Coordinate internal and external audits. b) Prepare required documentation, reports, and responses to audit observations. c) Maintain updated statutory records, registers, licenses, and renewals. 3. Compensation & Payroll Support a) Oversee compensation processes including bonus, contractor bills, and contract renewals (half-yearly/yearly). b) Support payroll processing through timely and accurate inputs (attendance, leave, apprentice payroll, etc.). c) Ensure accurate maintenance of attendance and payroll data for apprentices and plant employees. 4. Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle Management a) Manage end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding. b) Handle complete employee lifecycle processes from joining to exit formalities. c) Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning and hiring needs. 5. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement a) Maintain harmonious industrial relations at plant level. b) Address employee grievances and manage disciplinary actions. c) Prevent and resolve disputes, absenteeism, and misconduct cases. d) Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention. 6. Training & Performance Management a) Identify training needs through skill gap analysis. b) Plan and implement technical, behavioural, statutory, and compliance training programs. c) Implement and manage the performance appraisal system as per company policy. d) Coordinate annual/periodic appraisal cycles ensuring timely completion. e) Guide department heads on goal setting, KPI definition, and performance evaluation. 7. Plant Administration a) Oversee canteen, security, housekeeping, and manpower management. b) Ensure adequate stock of plant consumables and stationery. c) Manage vendor coordination, contract administration, travel, and accommodation arrangements. d) Maintain work permit systems at plant level. e) Coordinate HR and administrative requirements across departments. 8. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) a) Support EHS team in maintaining and improving safety, health, and environmental standards. b) Ensure adherence to plant safety protocols. c) Actively participate in 5S implementation at plant level.

Education Qualifications

  • MBA/PGDM/HR/Industrial Relations
  • B.Com/Commerce
