Deputy General Manager Operations

Job Description

1) Operational Oversight: The Plant Head manages the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This includes coordinating production schedules, maintenance, and quality control activities . 2) Resource Management: They are responsible for managing both human and material resources. This involves allocating resources effectively, managing budgets, and ensuring that the plant has the necessary raw materials to meet production demands. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employee suggestions for process and product enhancements . 3) Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all products meet quality standards is a critical responsibility. The Plant Head implements quality control measures and monitors production output to maintain high standards . 4) Safety Compliance: The Plant Head ensures that all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. They oversee employee safety training and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks 5) Strategic Planning: They develop and execute plant policies and procedures that align with the company’s goals. This includes setting identifiable goals for staff and monitoring overall plant performance. Collaborating with department heads to develop long-term strategic plans . 6) Staff Management: The Plant Head is responsible for recruiting, training, and developing plant staff. They conduct performance reviews, motivate employees, and address any staffing issues that arise . 7) Communication and Coordination: Effective communication with upper management and other departments is essential. The Plant Head reports on plant performance, forecasts future needs, and resolves conflicts between departments . 8) Statutory compliances: Ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements, including environmental, health, and safety regulations. 9) Continuous Improvement: They are tasked with monitoring workflow and assembly methods, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-effective systems to enhance productivity
